Faith and Funnies is a printable Christian activity publication created especially with older adults and long-term care residents in mind. Each issue combines Christian encouragement with humor, nostalgia, puzzles, activities, and familiar topics that encourage conversation and connection.
Each Faith and Funnies issue includes four printable pages of content, along with a Facilitator Guide with conversation starters, suggested activities, additional Scripture, and ideas for using the issue with groups or one-to-one. The first page usually contains jokes, puns, trivia, or interesting facts. The second and third pages are a devotional. The last page is a word search, crossword puzzle, or some other similar type of activity page.
A new issue is published every other Wednesday, for a total of at least 26 issues each year (depending upon how many Wednesdays there are in a month).
Issues are delivered electronically to the email address you provide when you subscribe. You can download the PDF and print it when you’re ready to use it.
Yes! Watch your inbox for your order confirmation email. That email contains a button that says “View Order Details,” which will take you to your customer dashboard. From there you can download the most recent Faith and Funnies and its Facilitator Guide. After that, you’ll receive each new issue by email every other Wednesday.
You can choose either:
Monthly: $5 per month
Annual: $50 per year — a savings of $10 compared with paying monthly for a year.
Both plans include the same Faith and Funnies issues and Facilitator Guides.
Yes. You may cancel at any time through your customer portal. Canceling stops your next renewal; it does not undo a subscription period you’ve already purchased.
Subscription payments are generally nonrefundable and are not prorated when a subscription is canceled during a billing period. However, if you believe you were charged in error, made an accidental purchase, or have another special circumstance, please contact us.
Yes. A facility subscription allows you to download and print Faith and Funnies for use with residents throughout the subscribing facility. You can use it for group activities, individual residents, room visits, activity carts, or however it works best for your residents.
Subscriptions are intended for the subscriber who purchased them. Facilities may print and use Faith and Funnies throughout one location, but the digital files should not be shared with other facilities or organizations. Each location should have its own subscription.
Individual subscribers are welcome to print copies for their own personal use or to enjoy with family or friends, but the digital files should not be forwarded, copied, or distributed to others.
Faith and Funnies is very much a one-person operation! I write and create each issue and Facilitator Guide myself, and a great deal of time and care goes into producing new material every other week. Keeping subscriptions to one facility/one subscriber helps make it possible for me to continue creating fresh, affordable content for everyone who uses it. Thank you for respecting that.
Faith and Funnies can be used by individuals, families, volunteers, churches, senior ministries, assisted living communities, and others who enjoy Christian encouragement, humor, nostalgia, puzzles, and activities. Though it is written with nursing home residents in mind, I always try to create content that is enjoyable for people of all ages.
Faith and Funnies is written from a Christian perspective. Each issue includes a short Christian devotional and Scripture along with humor, nostalgia, history, puzzles, conversation starters, and other activities. The Christian content is an intentional part of the publication.
Faith and Funnies is not affiliated with or written specifically for any particular Christian denomination, such as Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian, or others. The devotional content focuses on broadly shared Christian beliefs and Scripture rather than denominational teachings or practices.
We do not currently produce materials for other faith traditions. Residents and individuals of any faith—or no particular faith—are welcome to enjoy any of the activities that interest them.
